Introduction

In line with the objective of the then government, Bikram Samvat was established in 2039 BS with the objective of making agriculture and livestock fisheries development and animal husbandry self-reliant and facilitating the service effect.

From the time of establishment of this office to the time of operation of Veterinary Hospital, Veterinary Hospital, District Veterinary Service Office, Veterinary Hospital and Veterinary Service Expert Center, the office has been serving as State Level Veterinary Hospital and Veterinary Service Office.

The purpose of this office is to increase public awareness in fisheries and poultry treatment and overall animal service. Opinion and advice in the field of animal husbandry.

Purpose

Its main objective is to diversify, commercialize, establish animal husbandry as a lucrative and respectable profession and to contribute to the provincial and national production. Other objectives are as follows.

    To increase the production and productivity of livestock and animal products
    Commercializing traditional and subsistence animal husbandry, making Karnali self-sufficient in production and consumption of livestock products (milk, dairy products, meat, eggs), eliminating malnutrition and supporting food and nutrition security and exporting livestock products.
    To provide services such as technical services, improved breeds, grains and food, animal health services, accessible loans and animal insurance to livestock farmers, communities, cooperatives and entrepreneurs and to actively cooperate with the private sector in commercial livestock rearing, resource development and market management.
    To create more employment opportunities by encouraging livestock production, establishment of livestock industry and livestock trade.
    To determine, improve and regulate the quality of materials related to livestock industry business
    To increase clean livestock production by preventing, controlling and eradicating important livestock diseases from economic and public health point of view.
